Find opportunities to publicly celebrate employees’ small and big successes. This kind of appreciation makes people feel special.
Mindfulness :
Encourage and role model mindful behaviors.Mindfulness helps employees be present and notice (and celebrate) small things
Kindness :
Promote random acts of kindness by acknowledging employees who go out of their way to help others. Kindness and gratitude are two sides of the same coin
Service :
Provide opportunities for your employees to get involved in the community. Gratitude doesn’t have to come “only” from within the organization but also from the community
Culture :
Gratitude has to be part of the corporate culture to flow naturally and organically. It takes time to build! Start small and have your leaders role model behaviors of gratitude
Relationships :
Promote peer-to-peer recognition. Employees spend more time interacting with each other than with their leaders. Being appreciated by a peer is a positive boost!
